Who makes the best 1/48 scale Corsare? The version dosn’t matter. I’m just looking for a new model with good detail. I have only bilt revell models, and they look like thay could be better.
There are many cosairs out there my fellow snap-together, but the one i would go with and i have head so many good things about are the Tamiya Cosairs. I am afraid thats not a snap-together though just kiddin.
I would go with Tamiya for the F4U-1 series, and Hasegawa for the F4U-4 and later.

I would have to agree, the Tamiya F4U-1 series is the best for the early versions. Both Hasegawa and Minicraft make -4s that are nearly identical. The Minicraft has recessed panel lines, and the Hasegawa has raised though. Hasegawa makes a 5N model which is currently avaliable under Monogram’s Pro Modeler label. Hasegawa also makes a very excellent F4U-7 and AU-1. Those are the best kits of each version. It just depends on which you want to build! Good luck!
Thanks all for your input.
Tamiya 1/48 ( any of them) the best of the best!!, Good fit, good details, etc, etc, etc…
Regards
I bought Minicraft’s F4U-4B some time after I had bought and built Hasegawa’s -4. It would not be today, but back then it was quite a surprise to see how close it was to the Hasegawa kit. I did not mind that at all since they had recessed the panel lines and it was less expensive.
Too bad they also repeated the windshield mistake ! [:(]
Did I hear that someone was going to do an F2G kit in 1/48th [?]
