Could anyone give me an opinion as to which colour from the Tamiya acrylic range is best
for representing the shade of olive-green found on most WW2 Soviet tanks and vehicles?
I originally thought Khaki Drab was best, but it seems to be a bit too brownish. However I have
often read that the usual colour of Soviet tanks was brownish-green.
I believe that the Tamiya XF-13 in the bottle or Tamiya spray TS-61 look pretty good!

XF13 is JA (Japanese Army) Green - this is a deep, very slightly bluish, green colour, more or less the same as used on many Japanese WW2 aircraft (hence the name).
This definitely seems like a good colour for post-war Soviet/Russian AFVs (looks similar to some colour photos I’ve seen) but I’m talking about WW2 vehicles here - as far as I know these were a more olive green colour.
Thanks for the advice anyway.
Well, it was a pretty good match for the WSN T34/85 1/16 tank so I thought I’d share the discovery. I did know what the J.A. stood for, but good luck in your search!
