Here is the FM Do-24T 1/48 scale POS kit completed. This thing has fought me from day one through hanging the dang thing from the ceiling. I have never been so glad to have a project completed as with this one. When I first started this build I had considered purchasing a second kit to convert to the turbo-prop version but not now - no way.

I had no idea that anyone made it in 48th. Really great build. [tup]
Nice job on a relatively obscure aircraft! Is that center engine really not on the centerline of the hull, or is it an optical illusion in the photo?[bow]
You really did a GOOD job on this bird.
She looks GREAT !
Bud
You are correct, that engine is slightly off center. One of many issues with this kit.
Your perseverance paid off, Matt, because it looks superb!
Merry Xmas,
Mark
Very nice work on the Dornier. You must have a very good Air Traffic Controller to keep everyone straigt in your display area.

If I refer to a few other kits I saw from FM which is, unfortunately, a French company, I would like to congratulate you for the result. A question though : did you make it alone by yourself, or did you get some help from Harry Potter, because the task was certainly very hard ?
Wow, Swanny, I just read your epic of tribulations on your website!
Truly, that which does not kill you makes you stronger. [banghead]
Well done Swanny, you tamed the beast! [bow][bow]
very well done,i’ve got the same problem right now on my jayhawk convertion.i actually think this kit was meant not to go together.
Swanny, congratulations completing such a pig of a kit, and making it look good into the bargain!
I thought the 1/72 Revell boxing of the old italeri kit was bad enough!
Karl
Another great challenge successfully tackled. Well done!
By the way… has “ATC” called to complain about the crowded air space in your office? Or, like me, have you been able to convince the “war deparment” to declare your office military air space under your jurisdiction? [;)]
Looks great. A less skilled modeler would have bagged it early on.
Well worth your effort, Swanny. I’m glad you chose to stay with it. There’s something odd and cumbersome that makes floatplanes so unique. You definately chose a rare subject. Great looking end product!
Thanks for all the kind replies, really helps to take away from the pain of the build. [:)]
Nice looking boat Swanny
