Battle of Britain Group Build - Anyone Interested?

Hi all,

I am thinking of running a group build around the Battle of Britain from July 1 through to October 31 (the dates of the battle).

I know there are literally 100s of group builds on the go at the moment so I thought I would post this to gauge if there is enough interest.

What do you guys think?

Cheers

COUNT ME IN!!! [:D] I’ve been looking forward to this one for quite some time.

Not much in my stash that would qualify at this time, Darren. Were there any 109E-3’s? If so, I’m in! [tup]

I’d do this. I have both a spitfire and a bf109 I want to as a adversary dio. E-3 were in bob. Besides E’s are easy to change. alot of later E’s were early E’s with upgrades.

I have a fujimi Bf110 if they were in that.

I’d be in with a control tower, in 1/72. It’s a new interest of mine.

Bondoman the control tower seems like a really cool idea for a build, even though this is an aircraft GB that one is a definite starter.

By the way here is the list of eligible aircraft for the BoB is anybody is interested.

I’m thinking a Bf-109E, Tamiya 1/48 in the markings of either Adolf Galland or Werner Molders. Have wanted to do their aircraft for quite a while. [tup]

Sounds like a great choice Frank, btw have you seen this Werner Mölders 1/48 figure from Ultracast?

Darren-count me in.

Darren- Yep, in fact I already have one in my stash. [;)]

Are cross-over builds allowed? Given the numbers of models currently in the works and ready to start in my shop, I’m a little afraid of starting another one. And, I don’t know if I could start and finish one in four months. I am getting ready to start my Hurricane for the Hurri GB in 306 Squadron markings from the BoB next month, would that one be OK to build here?

Frank I know how busy everybody is with builds they have committed too so yes crossover builds are definitely allowed.

Good score on the figure btw [tup]

Cheers

Count me in, maybe a He 111 and a Bf 109.

Darson, put me down for a 109??? I always like it when the BOB build comes around.

Frank, call me sometime I might have some decals, maybe we can build sister ships.

Thad

I really enjoyed the previous BoB GB’s so I’ll try & fit this one in. Summer is not my prime building time, but I think I can get one done in the time frame. Have to mull over the stash & see what might fit in.

Regards, Rick

I’m in.

I’ll do the Gloster Gladiator Mk.II.

I’ve never done a GB so can someone give me a quick rundown?

Thanks

Mike

I would love to participate, always been a huge fan of BoB. however, I must finish about a half a dozen Gbs first… will get back to you in a month or so… in any case I will be following the great builds Im sure will come out of this GB. Cheers

Hmmm… apart from assorted Hurricanes, Spitfires, Bf.109Es, and other usual suspects, I’ve also got an Airfix 1/24 Ju.87B, an MPM 1/72 Defiant, and I’ve just bought the Airfix re-pop of the SMER/ Vista Fairey Fulmar.

Reeckon the Plastic Penguins could find space on the production liine for one of these in late summer.

Cheers,

Chris.

I have always wanted to take part in the BOB GB. I have a He-115 thats been in the stash for a while in 1/72 and this would be a perfect time to build it. So count me in on this one

Steve

Darren,

did you include me by default? I surely hope so [:)]

COUNT ME IN !!!
