Recently I’ve heard about that… but I want to know more about it… in fact I have a Mustang model… not the P-51, I’m talking about the ford Mustang (from Monogram), but the chromed parts are not so well painted… I’ve seen some pics of a Ki-61 finished with bare metal foil… and i think it must work for these chromed parts… so I want to know exactly what is bare metal foil an where I can get it… thanks in advance…
BMF is a very thin sheet of aluminun with a adhesive backing that comes in individual sheets. You should be able to get it at great models or Squadron. There is a slight learning curve but if you take your time, you get get amazing results. BTW, it comes in several different shades including chrome.

Zeroenna,
Do you have an airbrush? A member of the forum (an FSM staff member??) stated recently that they used Alclad Chrome to repaint some of the chrome parts on a car. The pictures he posted looked amazing and he even said that it seemed to look more convincing than the pre-chromed part.
Just a thought. Best wishes,
Eric
What is Bare Metal Foil? It’s a pain in the @#%&*!! THAT’S WHAT IT IS…
