I haven’t tried to use BMF before, but I want to se it on a mustang 350 H. Problem, does BMF adhere better to glossy finishes? I currently have a matt finish and the foil does not adhere well, even with burnishing. The foil lifts when I attempt to trim it. Thanks for any assistance.
Chances are your BMF is old and the adhesive backing is no longer sticky enough to hold onto the surface…or your plastic has oil contamination…did you wash it?
You’ll need to get some fresh BMF or use a little foil adhesive to hold it in place.
Thanks, I have since learned that BMF has a shelf life and I have had my sheet for about two years.
It helps to keep them inside a sealed ZipLoc bag. Also be sure to check when the retailer got their batch, some of the stuff I’ve picked up at LHS has sat for a very very long time…the adhesive backing turned into crumblies and the backing paper slid off. [censored]
