Bandai 1/144 Tie Advanced & Tie Fighter set

As you’d expect with Bandai, goes together great and engineered that pieces go together on panel lines. The “Death Star” tiles are from Cults3D and I printed and purposed them for my displays. This little set only cost $15 AUD.

Those are some great looking vignettes! I especially like how the tie fighter is displayed.

A little while back I did the Tie Adavanced and couldn’t agree with you more. Those Bandai kits are superb. For their size they are extremely detailed and very true to the original filming miniatures.

This is indeed a good set of vignettes Grant. I’ve seen a good number of these Bandai kits built and they can sure turn out as winners like this one does in the hands of a good modeler. :+1:

Love the backgrounds! Is that something you printed?

I have just about every Bandai Star Wars kit and they’re a joy to build!

What method did you use for creating the transparent supports?

One is straight so nothing needed to be done, the other one I used a heat gun to put a bend in it. The rod is 2mm diameter

OK, so it’s clear acrylic rod then? Another item to add to my wish list.

A couple of years ago I acquired several of Bandai’s Star Wars trench run kits to make a larger diorama out of. I didn’t like the thought of using the included stands. Understanding how you did yours gives me some idea how I might convert those tiles. Much appreciated!

Yeah, clear rod, I get it on Ebay, it comes from China (the ones I get anyway), but they have many diameters and it’s cheap, but just put clear acrylic rod in your search engine :+1:
