I am watching Band of Brothers on the History Chanel right now 8:30, and It is the one where they are taking the city of canentene. one of my fav episodes. Some great shots of armor especialy German STug III’s. I love the part where the shermans come, and one of the tankers says to the guys, “Hey, looks like u guys had one heck of a fight.” Band of Brothers gives me so many ideas for modeling. several Diorama Ideas. which one should I make

“batte at the Bocage” - artillary and trenches

“Battle at the Hedgerows” - Destroyed Shermans riding up on hedges eith German Panzerfaust crews

“Lost Tiger 2” - Tiger 2 in the Ardens forest at a crossroad. Commander standing outside of it with a map, winter time.

“Captured Sherman” - FAMO towing a captured Sherman with red Xs over the star logo.

“PAnzer IV rescue” - FAMO pulling up a PAnzer IV that slid over an embankment

Well im definately going to try and produce the lost king tiger one! any others you think I should do, especially ones where i would use the same vehicle. And Rebel, u are right I have only built 1 dio before, and thats not even finished. I am kinda new.

The captured Sherman gets my vote.You don’t see many dios like that.

Im pretty sure im goin gto build the lost Tiger 2 one, after all I already have the trees for it and have already built the tiger 2. But the one im really trying to decide on are the FAmo rescue, and the Famo capturing the Sherman one. I already have the Famo about 80 % built for the Halftrack GB, and I am wroking on a Sherman that a friend gave me after he gave up modeling, even though it is missing alot of parts. Id probably build either if one got enough votes. The Battle at the Bocage one is one ive always had my eyes on, but building a few flak 88s, I already have 1 built would get tedious, and costly.

HEre is another one that i can probably produce. I already have the verlinden building and the Flak gun built - A Flak 88 perched in a destroyed building. Its muzzle would be sticking out of the front doors. they are big barn doors.

Carenten would be great to do…even as a multi dio piece…have it in sections, but able to be combined to fully reflect the town during the battle…i’d like to see a stalingrad dio, or an antietnam dio(civil war).even jutland would be cool.woot!

I like the battle of the bocage one myself. But they all sound great.

BOB is what got me started in modeling in the first place so go have a ball with your dios. The lost KT would be my pick.

I vote for all of them! I have to agree with you 100%, band of brothers gives me sooooooooo many dio ideas only one of which I have actually produced. (battle of the bulge)

on a serious note, I think it really depends on if its your first dio. If it is, You may not want to do a major city dio, or try to replicate hedgerows. You should probably stay with some easy terrain and work your way up. theres plenty of time.

I’d go with the captured sherman. It sound good.
I love the episode with the tiger tank. What I like of BOB is that you see battle damage and battle wounds that seem realistic. Not the classic shot in the belly that kills instantly[%-)] but the shot to the neck that bleeds to dead or the sherman that keeps going although it’s burning.
