I’ve got Airfix’s 1/48 BAe Hawk 100 on the go, its coming along well, but I need some good photos of the seats in this bird as the seats are a bit lacking in detail in the kit.
I’ve looked at a bunch of Hawk sites and seen a lot of good exterior pictures, but no good detail shots of the seats.
I think the kits seats are workable, so I’d like to stay away from aftermarket stuff if I can on this build.
Anyone know of a site with these sort of pictures of the Hawk?
Hi Upnorth,
Try Motty’s Aircraft Pages for some good detail of the Aussie Hawk 127, he has some walkaround photo’s. I have the same Kit which I’ll be doing in RAAF scheme. Although I would also like to do one in the snappy dark blue Canadian colours.
Follow the link on www.hyperscale.com
I’ve looked at the links and it should be all I need to fill in the missing seat details.

Are you building your Hawk straight from the box with kit decals or are you going with some aftermarket decals? Perhaps its just my kit, but the Australian decals on my sheet are printed a bit rough with a slight doubling of some of the images, especially the panther design on the side of the specially marked 76 Squadron machine. The Canadian markings in my kit seem to be of good quality though.
The seats on the Hawk are the same as used on the Tornado.the only difference is that the head boxes come in 2 types.Id check to see what type was fitted to your particular model.
Try looking on “rafarmourers.co.uk”,you might get some shots there in the gallery section.i know the are some shots of weapons of the raf.
