Badger vs. Paasche

I’m looking at buying one of the following airbrushes and was wondering if you would tell me which one works best for the type of work I will be using it for.

I know I want a double-action and I will be buying the set with the most accessories such as needles and caps so price is not really important. It’ll mainly be used for painting models also for other things as well (shirts, crafts). I’m looking for one with easy maintence, being able to paint thin lines as well as spray large areas with ease and be able to take most paints like Tamiya and Testors. Oh yeah, if you own any of the following, please let me know at what pressure it / they work best.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated!!! And thanks in advance for any help!!!

My choice would be the Badger 155 Anthem.
It will spray down to 10 psi for modeling as well as 60-80 psi for T-shirt airbrushing. It handles all paints from acrylics to lacquers and it has a single tip/needle combination which is nice. The Paasche is also a good airbrush but no airbrush company takes better care of their customers than Badger.

I have never used a Paasche, but then my Badger has never given me reason to want to!

Badger products are excellent and affordable. double action paasche can be a bear to clean as well.

I use a Badger Crescendo 175. It is a heavy duty well balanced brush. If you get the kit, it comes with 3 needles, 3 tips, 1 large color jar, 1 small color jar, and a small metal cup. I got mine at Michaels. Should be somewhere in the $100-$120 range or so.

Good choice! I use a Badger 155 and it produces great results - even with my unsteady hand guiding it. [:D]

I have a Badger 360 and it’s pretty much a fancy Badger 155. It’s a great airbrush, and if you are limited to only having one airbrush for model building purposes then the 155 would be really hard to beat. It’s covers about all the need, is inexpensive and very easy to maintain. Don’t have any experience with the Paasche Millenium. The 150 is less convienient to use as you have to change tips for different spray patterns.
