BADGER IS ALIVE AND WELL - addressing the mis-info problem with forums!

Howdy All,

This is Ken Schlotfeldt, President and owner of Badger Air-Brush Co. I am sorry I was unable to posts this sooner as I was in Nurnberg Germany and the International Toy Fair, where the very much still in usiness and globally popular Badger Air-Brush Co. was exhibiting for the 30th year.

Upon my return I was surprised to receive emails from many of you, who are friends and loyal users of the products my company manufactures, regarding a post by someone named “Poppie”, under the subject post “Life after Aztek”, related to the apparent demise and closure of Badger Air-Brush Co.

POPPIE’S POST COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

BADGER IS VERY MUCH ALIVE AND DOING QUITE WELL - THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Companies that are going out of business do not aggressively and proudly introduce new products, new packaging, and enter new industries. However, these are all things energized, forward thinking, progressive, growth oriented companies like Badger Air-Brush Co. do, and Badger is indeed doing. Badger is introducing a new line of airbrushes - The Renegade Airbrush Series, introduced 5 new clamshell packages at the IHobby expo (shipping to stores this month), and has just launched itself into what in the next 12 months may become one of its largest markets.

I assure you all - Badger is very active and very growth oriented. We would not be spending funds on overseas trade events, new product development, new packaging design, and new market research if we were even remotely contemplating our going out of business!

Poppies post, all be it information apparently provided to him by an obviously mis-informed and irresponsible source, is abolutely 100% FALSE. I do not know who Poppie is or where he received his information from (Poppie, if you read this and would like to let me know the source of your info so I may contact them - my email address is below), but his posting of it without even contacting Badger for verification was equally irresponsible on his part and is a glaring example of the sometimes problematic and hurtful nature of internet forums that allow people to say whatever they wish without any accountability or reliable means of verifcation for what is often presented within them as fact -despite such information many times being falsehoods and mis-informed banter that serves no good purpose for forum participants, but does serve to sometimes do unreversible damage to good people and good companies. I am hopeful that will not be the case for Badger if the information in my current post is effectively circulated, and I ask any of you who read this and are a friend of the forum, the modeling community, the hobby industry, and/or Badger Air-Brush Co. to assist in that circulation of this corrected information.

Thank you all for continued support of and confidence in Badger Air-Brush Co., a proud, positive, and ambitious American company. And thank you all in advance for your assistance in correcting the previously erroneous information regarding the continued existence and success of Badger Air-Brush Co. BADGER ROCKS and has every intention of continuing to for a long time!

If any of you ever wish to get info related Badger, products or otherwise, please feel free to email me direct. My email address is Kenbadger@aol.com

Take air,

Ken

Well said! Now, where’s my Renegade? :)!

E

Ken,

I was wondering why it took so long for a reply! Thanks for popping in and clearing up the air. I can well imagine that running a large and successful company puts you under a lot of pressure, especially when people inadvertently spray false rumors around. I’m glad that you finally made it in to vent a bit and hope that you didn’t let this escapade needle you too much. I’m also glad to hear that you aren’t down in your cups and have a good handle on things.

Bill (who apologizes for all the airbrush puns, but I just couldn’t help it!)

I told you he was busy, as usual. [(-D]

How do you do it Ken? How many miles do you log in a year in travel?

I am interested my friend. [;)]

Go to the back of the line mister! [(-D]

We just cleared the Velocity shells through QC today. The Velocity starts into production tomorrow. The Spirit will start up late next week, and the Rage will be in production the last week of February or the first week of March. If you’ve got Velocitys on order their not that far away my friends.

You guys are going to be blown away by these airbrushes. I cannot wait to hear the initial impressions and opinions you guys will have when you see and use these guns. I’m talking unbelievable look, feel, and performance. I know - I just had the last pre-production prototype of the Velocity with me in Nuremburg, and let me tell you the rest of the world was jaw droppingly impressed with this airbrush.

Take air,

ken
