I just got my compressor recently, Werther X1AS which recommends the use of Badger airbrushes.
I use a Badger 360 with the threaded airhose with the airbrush connector on one side and varying source connection on the other (propellant or compressor).
The compressor came with a huge looped vinyl hose with a brass adapter on one end to connect it to the airbrush.
Problem is that the brass adapter adds alot of weight to the brush and makes airbrushing quite uncomfortable.
However when I use the Badger airhose, some air leaks out where the varying connection meets the coompressor.
I think the fact that the varying source connector is smaller than the one on the supplied compressor hose is causing the problem and the propellant connector is getting in the way.
Does Badger sell a threaded air hose with just a single compressor connection on it?
Alternatively could I attach the Badger 1/4 " Adaptor with/Bleed onto the Badger hose and then onto the compressor to prevent the air coming out?
John, It sounds to me like you need to get some Teflon Tape for the threaded connections. you can pick it up virtually anywhere such as the hardware store, auo supply & even some grocery stores have it in the the auto/ hardware section.

Get some teflon tape (not too much, you don’t want to plug the air flow) and wrap it around the threads. The big end should fit on the compressor (or the hose you have), the small end will fit to the airbrush. Nice and light!
John you should be able to pick it up a lot cheaper at any hardware or DIY store… no need to pay shipping and taxes on something that should only cost you about US $1.00 down the street. Anywhere plumbing supplies are sold should have it…
Tom’s quite right. I only posted the link as it was the only picture I could find. You should be able to buy the adapter at any decent hardware store. The vinyl hose might cause a bit more trouble. I found an airbrush kit (real cheap one) that came with the hose, the adapter, a couple of bottles and an airbrush that is so bad it hurts. Mind you it sprays Future just fine! Got the whole thing for under $10. Look around discount tool stores or tool liquidators.
Sounds like the cheapy that I found in an auto parts store here in Aus, all of A$29.00. (same unit can be found on EvilBay listed as an “AB-128”) Rough Badger 150 clone, with bits falling off (head assembly!!!) as I took it out of the box. Perfectly usable once it’s sorted out though.
Not quite. This is a clone of the Badger 350 external mix. Plastic body, plastic handle, zero control. It’s only good for base coats. I bought it solely for the hose and adapter. It was cheaper than buying online or at the LHS. The bottles were a bonus, and so was the “airbrush”.
This is the same kit, though $10 + $5.75 S&H is criminal! El Cheapo AB
