The LHS has a Badger 350 starter set with a can of propellant for $45.00 US. Is this a good deal?
Derek,
That’s not a bad price.
That same set sells for $39.95 from Dixie art.

I would however opt for spending another $10-15 or so and getting a good, double-action airbrush like the Badger 155 Anthem.

I just bought a Badger 155 Anthem from Dixieart for $66.00 and the shipping was free.

Good Evening. I am leaning towards the Badger Anthem, and have a couple of questions. The ad in FSM (my most favorite magazine) makes reference to a single nozzle design (one nozzel for EVERYTHING). Does this infer that you can adjust for different patterns and coverage? Secondly, does the unit come with both siphon and gravity feeds. I am in to 1/72 and perfer the gravity feed if for no other reason than to conserve paint. The aztec stuff has been retired, and have dug out the ever faithful Badger 200. TNX
It means that the airbrush can spray fine lines and thicker lines with the same needle/nozzle combination it comes with. It just depends on how far back you pull the trigger on the airbrush.
Except for the Badger 360 and the Omni Matrix, all other airbrushes are either gravity-feed or siphon-feed, not both.
The Anthem is a siphon-feed airbrush.
If you prefer a gravity-feed only then I would suggest the T&C (Badger) Omni 4000 or Iwata Eclipse CS.

If you have a Michael’s craft store in your neck of the woods, they regularly have a 40% off coupon (discount ONE item only). I bought the same 350 kit for $35 in-store. They also carry the Anthem and the Revolution.
Guess I owe a sincere “thank you” to all. I certainly appreciate the input from both Mike and ModelMANN. You talk abt service…I posted at 21:32 last night and Mike was back with an answer by 22:00! Yep, ModelMANN, we have a Michaels in the area. The 65 mile drive into Nashville will be worth it. TNX AGN People…Gary.
