Badger 350 Airbrush Adapter

Not sure if I should be posting this here or in “Tools” as my conundrum is not about actual airbrushing.

I’m looking for adapter advice for my newly acquired Badger 350-1M.

Picture first, then more text.

The top and middle airbrushes are knock off clones of a Badger 350. One of those two came with the Point Zero airbrush kit I bought a year ago. (Bought a second clone off Amazon just to get another jar, but I digress).

Didn’t actually get around to using the clones until a month or so ago.

They started acting up and I couldn’t figure out how to get them apart to properly clean them. (The lower brass portion seemed molded right into the plastic. But I digress.)
That problem has since been resolved, but not before I bought a Badger 350-1M. (Actually, I bought two Badgers. A 350F-9 as well but that one hasn’t arrived yet. But I digress.)

The two adapters in the picture came with the clones. They screw on the clones nice and smooth.
The Badger 350-1M did not come with an adapter. When I try to thread the clone adapter onto the Badger, it starts and threads on about one turn, but that’s it. I don’t want to force it, figuring the threads are slightly different.

So, I started researching what adapter I need for the Badger that also fits my air hose (that came with the Point Zero kit).

This research is like pulling teeth trying to find an answer.

Since the air hose came with a Point Zero kit, it’s not actually called a Point Zero air hose, as far as I can tell. It’s just a no name air hose.

I have an Iwata airbrush as well. The Iwata fits the no name air hose.

So, I researched “Badger Airbrush to Iwata Air Hose Adapter”. Lots of results, but they all mention they are for a 1/8" hose and/or they have a 1/8" male thread. This is an image I obtained from Amazon, and cropped.

Here’s the confusion. The female thread of my no name air hose is not 1/8". Not even close. It’s more like 11/32" (or close to 3/8", but not 1/8").

What am I missing here? Is that image from Amazon, showing the fitting diameters as 1/8", wrong? Is all this talk of a 1/8" air hose referencing the inside diameter of the air hose itself, and NOT the fitting? Because the ID of the air hose itself does look to be very close to 1/8".

I’ve also researched getting just another air hose. A Badger air hose. Specifically for a Badger airbrush. But that is like pulling teeth as well.

Any assistance anyone might be able to provide on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Mark

Badger sells air hoses.

And most air hoses I’ve seen are 1/8” on both ends or 1/8-1/4”. But I’ve also learned that it’s not just metric SAE fittings but also BSP (?) which is a British thread I believe.

Thanks for your reply.

You are a better man than I as I find their website extremely difficult to navigate and I can not find the path that takes one to their air hoses.
I’ll keep trying.

Mark

So the air hose I have, at almost 3/8" is uncommon?

Thanks,
Mark

I think I found what I need……

Mark

Indeed, You can get the adapter at Amazon, just get one for Iwata hose to to Badger or 1/8 to Badger airbrush. Iwata and 1/8 is the same thread. I’ve gotten my adapters and quick connects too, from Amazon.
