Bad Day in Denver

Lost his brakes

I have to ask… Injuries? Fatalities?

That could really ruin a perfectly good day! Thanks for sharing!

Hope that wasn’t the lunch room he stuck his nose into. Can you imagine putting a spoonful of soup in your mouth and then looking up to see that coming at you??

That would be a real Oh S[censored].

Regards, Rick

Did he lose steering too? It seems there is plenty of room to the left.[D)]
He’ll be flying a desk now![8-][oops]

Maybe he was reading FSM.

I told 'em not to hang those “Bug” zappers over the doors!

Flight of 3 F-18 enroute from training at NAS Fallon to NAS Oceana landed at Buckley AFB for refueling. Pilot reported losing hydraulics and ran into the hanger housing F-16’s from the Colorado ANG’s 120TFS. Pilot was not injured but had to be cut out of the a/c.
Earlier this week the Colorado ANG had lost an F-16 about about 150 miles southeast of Denver due to fire in the tail. Pilot ejected with minor injuries

BIG OOOOPPPPSS. big Ouch too.

Reading FSM…now I can explain my last accident to my wife

Heck if the military does it…

Just imagine what was going through his mind as he could see his multi-million dollar plane going, for the building . I bet they will change his call sign after this incident.

The three Hornets belong to VFA-106. Definitely a new callsign for that driver.[:D] Good thing no one was injured.

I think his Squadron mates will be calling him Wally from now on…[:p][;)]

re: grandadjohn:
The F-16 (87-0337) of the CO ANG he is referring to attempted to make an emergency landing at the little Lamar Municipal Airport in S.E. Colorado (my hometown of many years ago). From the newspaper article the pilot got it set down, but realized about halfway down the strip (6600 ft) he was going to run off the end of the runway and punched out. Big time excitment in Lamar!!!
I didn’t think that F-16s needed that much runway. He must have been landing “hot” (no pun intended). Does anyone know the recommended runway length to safely land a F-16?
