I’ve recently returned to modeling after decades away. I used to buy my models at the local hobby shop (Fort Madison, Iowa) many decades ago. My first real model was a balsa wood model of the U. S. S. Constitution. Unfortunately, my grandmother accidentally knocked it off the radiator where I had set it. It took a nose-dive into the floor. Then 20 years later, I built another model (Plastic) and ended up giving it to a car salesman when we didn’t have room for when we moved, another 20 years later.
