Wow great work getto, hope I can hold my own here[:D]

Oh and thanks for tellng me how to get the pics up you guys. I might be able to post the patches tonight, and now all I have to do is get a digital camera to put my own pics up.

Hi Vintage…

Please sign me up.
If you consider the Short Sunderland a bomber, then I’ll do that – it’s a stretch, so I won’t be upset if you say no.
Otherwise, I have the AM B25B & B25C/D kits, and will do one of them depending on checking on my notes, decals, extras, etc.

Let me know (& no I can’t do both or all !!), Thanks,

The TB-3 is a heavy bomber built by Tupolev - late 20’2 - early 30’s - loaned to the Chinese to drop leaflets on the Japanese. It is to 1:72 scale. The Halifax is also 1:72 - still waiting news of the 1:48 - rumoured to be on its’ way. The one I am doing is of the aircraft in which an Unlce was killed over Essen in 1942. Shall I email you the Box top picture of the TB-3?

Was the Short Sunderland ever used as a bomber?

Hey Midd to e-mail me a picture would be great, Im always up to leanning something new[8D] look in my profile for my E-mail

Wait, so i’m in even though i have the same kit for 2 Group Builds? If the answer is “no”, I’ll just buy the B-17B i saw earlier today!! [:D]

Sounds like shrikes really wants an excuse to buy a new model [;)]

The TB-3 was a rather ungainly looking thing-- but was used early on in WWII by the Soviets to the delight of the Luftwaffe who picked them off gleefully. Later-- they were put into a Zveno role where a TB-3 had a few I-16 Rata fighters latched on underneath that would drop down with huge bombs and attack German targets…

I’m in for sure ,just can’t decide what to build…

What happened to the sticky? pokes MB

edit: Now I see… New section and stuffs… cool

put me in with a minicraft 1/144 lancaster.

I might not be building my b-26 for awhile, got alot going on. maybe August.

Well, it carried bombs & depth charges & “bombed” U-Boats, and is officially typed as a “Long Range Maritime Patrol Bomber” – consider it as much a “bomber” as the PBY Catalina I see someone is going to build.

But, like I said, it could be a stretch (as would be the PBY) & I can do a B25 …

Model upfate on the 1/48 B-24D Lady Be Good, and the 1/48 B-29.

B-24D The Lady Be Good

So far I have the ripped off #4 engine compleated, but only through hours of reaserch, and I think i probobly have the most accurate engine for a B-24 around, besides the real thing[:D], the left wing looking from the front ha been compleated with the exception of the propeler on it, thats off untlll the last stage, and I have cut the fusalage apart at the correct areas, and now all I have to do is nealy scratch build the entire interior for the rear half of the bomber, due to the fact mongoram only provids a very basic interior.[xx(][banghead]

B-29

The cockpit has been built, with all the equipment ripped out and all the wirs and such hanging out of the back of the instrument panals and the places where stuff should be and isnt anymore. I now have to weather it and add small little details to it.

Oh and the reason this is all done is because I started work on them about 2 weeks before we started this build[:D]

Hope everyones build(s) are going as good as mine are.[;)]

Try doing an interesting topic, like a B-32 dominator in 1/48[:D][;)], or more like a B-52, or a B-47, or a Japan bomber, oh I know do a 1/48 Lancaster, Ohhh wait I got the perfect build that you could do, a 1/48 B-17C/D[:0] hows that?

Im in but like obiwan im undecided yet as to wha t i would like to build.

Well ,got the lanc B3 in 1/48 ,but was thinking of a mosquito or
a Su-24m Fencer.

obiwan do the Mosquito , you barly see those in there pathfinder/bomber form, I think it would be neat, what company is it from, and whats the version.

And your in 9x19mm.

Just doing the finishing touches on the nose art for “Mystical Adventure”. A B-25 of the 310th BG. Other than a real faded B&W pic, all I had was a sketch drawn by the crew cheif of this plane of what the nose art looked like. I thought better just to hand paint it on then photoshop it. I will be taking pics tonight.

Got some terrible news and a possible set back. As I said before I was given a 1/72 Revell B-17F and I was gonna build it along with my 1/72 Hasegawa B-17G. Anyway the Revell finally came in the mail and it is as bad a kit as what I was told by Vintage Aircraft. The kit seems horrible.[:(!] It is terrible. Anyway I can’t decide if I should try and build it for the group build anyway or just go ahead and order the 1/72 Academy Memphis Belle. I am in for at least one B-17 though.
