Back after being away from the group for 10 years.

Hey.

Just thought I would reintroduce myself. I was on here before with the username Deeve. Hadnt accessed it in a long time and it looks like it was disabled. Anyways. I was still modelling in between then and now but not active on here.

I mostly do WWII Aircraft with a preference for German Luft 46’.

Hopefully I will be involved on here again. :slight_smile:

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Welcome back to the Forums!

Thanks for the welcome back.

I’ve already gotten some help without asking. I am doing Heller’s 72 scale Polikarpov i153 right now. About to do the rigging. Found a thread about using stretched sprue. That’s how I’m gonna do it. Never done biplane rigging before.

Stretched sprue is a great way to go. Another way is E-Z line used for telephone lines in model railroads. It’s a rubberized line that stretches many times it’s length. Comes in a couple of sizes to fit the scale size needed. Very easy to use and not very expensive either.

Have used it on all my WWI biplanes and for antenna wires on WWII planes.

I’ll look into that for the Fairey Swordfish in my stash. Right now hobby shops are closed so I gotta make due with what’s in house.

Welcome back

Well, Gee;

What took you so long? Welcome Back !

I got burnt out a bit, then basically took a few years off. Got back again a few years later, but my account was gone.

We’re twins!

I’ve been away from this forum more than a decade, had to create myself again. Just got back on! I build 1/72 military aircraft, my favorite being Luft '46 and other experimentals, but love all military aircraft. When I first got into building planes I chose 1/72 scale because even though there is FAR less detail, they are king of the hill, far and away the best for kit availability, and I wanted kits of just about everything! I also build cars, but that’s for other forums…

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you with us.
