There are no mainstream plastic injection kits available in 1/48, but there might be some larger scale vacuform kits out there. Do a Google!
Hi Ice dregon 122 [:D]
Unfortunately your hands won’t get on such a huge model, for it simply does not exist at all. But I do agree it’d be a great sight ![tup]
But the ones that exist at the 1/72 are quite good, and they’re the only ones you could get. If you enjoy that monster, get one from AMT
cheers !

tried the googler…no results…mainly all 1/72 or 1/444…dang i really wanted one…would have looked cool…prob a 12’ wingspan lol…

i should write some modeling companies letter’s describing my situation and some bribe money [8D]

Well if you have a few million I am sure a model company would be happy to make one for you.
The full scale BUFF is 185 feet, tip to tip. That figures out to 46.25 inches in 48th scale. That would require a large shelf for display. The Monogram, (now Revell/Monogram) Dog model is probably the best all around BUFF. The AMT G model and AMT H models are almost as good. They both come in an early and a late version, ie before and after EVS turrets under the nose and the Phase VI tail mods.

Still want one…badly even if the bugger would be 42’'…

good too see others like the buff… wife wants to do a scene of the 1/72 buff refueling from a -135 or -10 but the kits are rare… so now she is looking at a take off scene or a maintenence scene…
Hmmm… that’d be quite big, wouldn’t it?
There’s an example of me quietly understating the situation. [:D]
IceDragon you are in luck. If you can wait. Sanger Engineering has plans for a 1/48 vacuform release of the B-52 by year end.

Let Elliot at Sanger know you want it. He’s a great guy. I did some research for him for is upcoming 1/48 release of the PB2Y Coronado.
A kit that few will buy & many fewer still will actually build [:)]
Regards, Rick
Impossible? No. Improbable? Yeah, I guess. Then again, there has been more extreme done. That 1/72 Spruce Goose I’m looking (very hard) at has a wingspan of 53 inches, so I guess really nothing is out of the question.
Hey, I never thought I would live to see a 1/48 B-36 Peacemaker, but look what happes!
Wow… just been surfing Sanger’s site. Sanger have a rep for producing vacs that need a lot of work & scratch building. Looks like that won’t necessarily be the case with the B-52, as there seems to be a lot of detail there already. I’m glad about that, as they do some unusual planes.
I must admit to being tempted by the Stirling that I saw… looks good [:D]
i can rent you a large barn to store it in[(-D]
holy god…wow…forget space to keep it, that thing’s probably gonna kill your bank account…lol
Just out of curiosty I checked on RC b-52’s and found this link.

If your going to build big why not go all out! The text said that thing cost 30000 GBP. Ouch!
wow… £30,000 GBPs of firewood now… what a shame. I imagine the wind got it. Did you see the wings waggling as it took off? [:(]
