My mother-in-law sent me this link to Enola Gay/Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and if you are building a B-29 , take a look. pretty cool!

I had a link like this some time ago of German aircrfat cockpits and it let you switch between plans. I know it had a Me 109 and Fw 190, not sure if it ahd any more. But i lost the link when i wipped my laptop and now i can’t find it. These things are great.

Hello

That is a great view of the B-29 cockpit. My grandmother was a wiring expert on the B-29 at McCellan Air Base during WWII.

Thanks for the link.

Pretty far out… Looking Enola Gay over like that was better than actually being there, lol… Couldn’t see inside her much at all when I visited the NASM back in 90s… Just looking through a plexiglass “wall” into her bombay anf forward was kinda lame… Especially since about every picture I took showed little more than the flash from my camera off the plexiglass…

Thanks for the link…

BTW, after seeing her flight deck restored like that (right down to the headset hanging on the hook), I gotta say that we did a pretty good job on FiFi

That’s nice. It is like being there. [8-|]

Here’s a tour of the bombardier position also:

Wish we could see more of her. What ever became of “Bocks Car”, the plane that dropped the second A-Bomb?

Bocks Car is at the Air Museum in Dayton, Ohio. Displayed with it is a replica of the A-bomb. When I saw the Enola Gay two years ago there was no mention of it dropping the A-bomb. There was mention of its mission while the Enola Gay was being restored and only pieces of it were on display.

Now that is cool! The B29 is one of my favorite old warbirds.
