B-2 Spirit

Years ago I attempted to build a 1/72 model of a B-2 Spirit and gave up due to the God-awful fit. But I think I have gained a little more experience since then and would like to give it another try. The problem is I don’t remember the kit maker and can not find any reference on the web. Has anyone had experience with this model and is it avalible or has it been withdrawn?

Well i think testors makes one… ive built the stealth …if you want to find one or a better one go to squadron.com… testors look around ill look too and help find some.

Well i found a testorsB-2 1/75 scale they sell it for 25 bucks. if you need more help let me know

Thanks for your reply, working with the knowledge that it was a Testors kit I waas able to find a couple of reviews, which have not been too flattering, but I think with a lot of tweaking I can make it work. Now all I need is a kit, my search so far has not been successful and I appreciate the help.

what else you need? A diffrent kit?

B-2 bomber on ebay right now starting at 10 bucks ID# 3135189808

Italeri

Yeah. They use the same mold from what I know.

Ok - thanks a lot guys, I’m starting to rethink this whole Testors/Italeri thing and the B-2 unless some other manufacturer makes one in 1/72nd scale. Given enough time common sense will pervail.

lpolpo,

The Testors/Italeri (same kit) 72nd B-2 is the only injection molded kit of the Spirit. If you’re still interested, I can look and see if I still have one of these.

Fade to Black…

Thanks a lot Blackwolfscd but I’m afraid that if I attempted one it would wind up in more peaces than when I started but I do thank all who respondedto my inquiry.

Hey All,
The Testors kit isn’t that bad. Dragon (?) had the first B-2 kit
but was in 1/200 or 1/144th. came with an F-117 that was based
on an artist conception pic and was way off. The B-2 was pretty
good though.

No prob lpolpo!

The DML/Dragon kit was Super Tiny Scale (200th) and the first release had that funkified F-117. They did release the same kit with a newly-tooled 117 which, although not spot on, was a helluvalot better then the original. Because of this, the initial release is something of a collector’s item to the serious collectors out there. Now if I could only find some serious collectors… [:p]
