One bueatiful a/c, first time I saw her she was turning on final and the early morning sun shined off her. I have seen here many other time startibg, taking off, landing ans shutting down. Nice to live only a 30 minute drive from were she is based.

One of my all time favorite B-17’s. Thanks for sharing. The last time I saw her she was at Boeing Field in Seattle. That was a few years ago. Aluminum Overcast is another fantastic looking bird.

Sentimental Journey was the B-17 my brother and I took my Dad to see just 2 days before he died. That will be five years ago June 29. My dad was with the 390th BG 570th.sqd.

Nice pictures. Sentimental Journey is definately one of the better restored B-17s. She has been on the Warbird circuit for quite a few years and I think that they improve her at least some each year.

I agree with everyone else here, she is my favorite B-17.

The first time I saw her was in the early 80’s in Oshkosh Wis. at the annual EAA Convention.
She didn’t have the top turret or the chin turret, but of all things, she had the belly turret, which I thought was quit unusal, as most flying B-17s at the time had the top turret, and only a few had their belly turret. I love to see how she has progressed over the years[;)]

Besides, I a sucker for bare metal[8D]
