Hi everyone!
I’m currently working on Revell’s 1/48 scale B-1 for my brother-in-law (gotta love them 1/2 off sales at Hobby Lobby!). The ejection seats they provide are okay but I’ve certainly seen a lot better. Does anyone know what kind of ejection seats they use (Martin Baker, etc)? I’m pretty sure I can track down some reference pictures afterwards but I’m having a hard time finding out what they use on this plane.
Thanks for the help!
Eric
Hey Eric, There is a site - www.seatejectcolor.com It’s an awesome site with lots of info on different planes from all around the world. It’s worth the look. Also somewhat on the bad side, the majority of the language is in Italian (I think) but there is English in the mix.Good Luck.
I used Aces 2 (I think) in mine
got those from neomega resins , nice looking seats
Wow! That’s great info! And great pictures too on that Italian site. Thanks to all for the help!

PS. Sean, I think I’m going to skip ordering the aftermarket resin seats since, from what I’ve heard, the cockpit on this model is pretty hard to see into once you have everything all buttoned up. My brother-in-law wants this one wheels up so I won’t be able to pose it with any hatches open. As a result I think I’ll save a little $$$ and just try to dress up the kits seats as much as I can.
Yeah you cant see much inside ,
thats the mistake i made ,
if your doing her wheels up , could we do a deal on all your under carraige i broke mine [banghead][BH][BH]
Your going to need a big stand for her though ,
as for the wings glue them i left mine so they could swing
only problem is they swing out when i move it , it then makes the mountings crack
Echo, you really can’t see much at all when the nose halves are glued together. I did very basic paint work on my seats, but I also added pilot figures sitting in them, making even less of the seats visible. Detailing them, in my opinion, is not worth the time when there are other areas of the kit that can really use some attention.
