In the Aztek A470 airbrush set, which color nozzle is the one for fine lines and so on?

Fine Line Nozzle is Tan.
General Purpose Nozzle is Gray.
High Flow Nozzle is Turquoise.
Spatter Nozzle is Pink.
At least that’s what it says here. Haven’t ever used one so:

[#ditto] BigSmitty… I use the Aztec A470 almost all the time over my other AB’s. Gray is the tip I use the most… I use the Tan for painting the fine “mottle” camo patterns.
Do you use acrylics with the small tan tip?I just picked up the same airbrush and have never used Aztek.
Sorry, but No I use Model Master Enamels mainly. What few times I used acrylics (pollyscale) I went with the old standby Gray tip.
SUMMIT,hate to keep flogging away at this but…will the grey tip work for camo on 1/72 armour, mostly German.And you know some of the fine lines needed for proper German camo.Thanx
Maximus the best thing you can would be to mix up some paint and practice. I have been able to get down to 1mm with a thinned clean mixture. (looks like a fine point sharpie line) But that took some time of getting the air pressure and mix just right. I loaded up my brush with a 50/50 and sprayed this real quick - not the best but to give you an idea without fine tuning.
Again this is not a really good example as I was in a hurry and did not adjust my air pressure at the compressor at all. (18 psi) Practice …practice… is the best way.
There’s actually two tips designed for acrylics. They are the white and black tips. The difference between these tips and the others is that the “acrylic” tips have their needles exposed. This helps to stop tip dry.
I have used the tan with acrylics but you get a lot of tip dry with it. There are three courses of action you can take:
- Use enamels with the tan tip
- Use acrylics with the tan tip but keep a cotton swab moistened with acrylic cleaner handy to clean the tip off occasionally
- Buy the acrylic tips and use them

Since I airbrush exclusively Acrylics I used only the black tip for everything.
