Hi Frank, yes i’ve always done my modeling on my lap on the settee watching the TV [(-D] never really had my own room to do my modeling so this is where everything is concieved and birth is taken place, Heres another picture from last year just as a bit of proof ! working on a WWII training glider at that time, can you spot it in the pictures above !!

Well in 4 hours today i’ve masked the canopy out and painted it, i would normally hand paint the entire canopy, but this i had to do ! hand painting silver looks terrible and i’ve sprayed it with a aerosol tin of acrylic silver and dried in ten minutes :ha:
I’m sure i could have got it neater by hand ! come on then who hates silver

As you well know the Lanc’ kit has no side windows ! so i’m masking myself a set to replicate windows, my question is what sort of colour would you do ‘fake’ windows ? ie’ gloss black,gloss dark grey [X-)]

Hi all,
Finished the old gal’ off today and with some decals that wern’t meant for her ! the original ones just broke up [:(!] she still looks nice no matter what !.
Cleaned all the wash off and its left some nice detailing, i reckon the old Matchbox Lanc’ kit still scrubs up nicely.
As soon as the decals got water born they just broke up into tiny,tiny pieces and i had applied around 4-5 coats of Klear on them,so it was panic stations as no one does Lancastrian decals, i had to look through my box full of old decals and to my surprise i saw something like the old ruined ones PHEW !
Fake windows done these are on both sides,they are done in satin black.
Putting all eight stub stacks in.

Good save on the decals! I think if I do a Matchbox kit I’ll be sure to scan them just in case that happens to me! You are a wild modeling machine IAN! Whats next on your agenda?
Aaron the decals which broke up are from the M&E resin set, this can be seen on the first picture.
Just started to make a diorama ! i’ll be using two 'queen mary’s, two cranes, AEC open back truck, one Lancaster [%-)] in segments all being transported to an RAF base.
Just in case you don’t know what the vehicles look like its these

I have seen actual Photographs of the truck recovering the Spitfire in the Battle of Britain GB! Very cool! Sounds like a real mix of kits. Even The Queen Mary carnes? WOW! I’ll be looking for it! Don’t let me be late! I do enjoy seeing you use your imagination!
