One of my favorites from Aurora. Many mods to this to get it a bit more like the studio model. Floor was modified and lit, the reactor wall was modified and lit, led’s added to the diving lights and engines.
Looks good, one of my favorite kits from my childhood. The old Aurora kit is a tough build.
very nice. You have any more photos of it?
I like it. I’d like to see more photos too.
That looks great! Love the lights. Yes, More pictures please.
And now, a question:
How many Flying Sub models are there?
I have a 1/350 Paragrafix and a 1/128 Moebius models FS. I could not afford the Moebius 1/32 kit but what were the other scales released by Monogram and Aurora?
Thanks.
Nino
The Aurora/Monogram is 1/60 scale. Thanks!
More pictures as requested, the reactor wall has quick changing LED’s so it changes colors, not sure what colors the camera will catch. The floor has SMD’s and the diving lights and engines are LED’s. Engines are flickering LED’s. It’s not accurate by any means, however my goal was to show it can be made into a nice display piece if one is tight on room.
The old Aurora one was taken over by Monogram, same kit, around 1/70ish scale; slightly bigger than 1/72 scale. Aurora had several neat sci-fi models with interiors and removable roofs. The UFO from the TV show, the Spindrift from Land of the Giants, Flying Sub from VTBOTS.
Wow, that looks great [:O]
Thank you!
What did you use for theseagrowth?
The effect is just right, not too heavy and not too light.
Not sure, got it from Michaels where they keep the plastic ferns and things, thanks!
