The Central Committee has “compelled” me to become General Secretary of this MiG group build, and I accept.
Rules are simple:
Any MiG in any scale, any national markings.
If you’ve already started a MiG, that’s fine.
Officially starts RIGHT NOW, EST, and ends April 30th, 2015 (yeah, that’s a BIG window, but I’m the World’s Slowest Model Builder).
I’m in it with either the Kitty Hawk MiG-25 (a kit as infamous as Stalin) or the Trumpeter 1/32 MiG-19. Because of life/work commitments, I probably won’t begin until sometime next month.
As this is my first time leading a GB, further rules/recommendations welcome.
Please to allow me the first congratulations Comrade Citizen Porkbits! May this group effort to celebrate and display great works of famed Bureau of Mikoyan and Gurevich be rewarded with many heroic efforts and great acclaim throughout model building world! Is with great pride that I witness birth of this commemorative project. Long may aircraft of Mikoyan-Gurevich fly in defense of motherlands everywhere!!
Thanks for the heads-up…I didn’t even know there was a GB forum!
Also just want to add that I am in no way, shape, or form a MiG expert, so I defer to others in the GB who have a good deal of knowledge on the subject. I’ve just always loved Cold War Era Soviet a/c.
I’ve never done an online group build before. But I just acquired a Tamiya 1/48 MiG 15bis. How does this work. Should I post pics here or in the GB forum?
