I know its been covered a million times but I’m going to ask it anyway. What would be the best method and type of super glue to attach photo-etch parts to resin parts. Im finally starting my SU-27 and purchased a resin cockpit set and many photo-etched parts, I dont want to mess it up seeing as Ivebeen planning this project for a year now. Anyway thanx for input![8D]
You have your choice between CA & Epoxy. I use mostly CA, but Epoxy can be useful if you have a larger piece to attach. Conventional model glues won’t work & white glue gives a very weak bond.

since I haven’t used any of my resin details yet, I don’t know, but I’d say zap or other CA’s and superglues work fine. superglues are really goo for attaching PE to styrene
If you go with CA glue (my recommendation), you may want to get 2 types, the regular and the slower curing ones, as some PE are very small and you may have to shift it into position. A slow curing one will give you some time to work with it before it drys as the regular ones will cure in a few seconds.
I use Zap to glue PE to resin, but thus far I’ve only had to glue small PE parts to resin. it sets quickly so Waikong’s tip about getting both a fast glue and slow curing one may be a good idea. i’ve heard that epoxy is better for larger resin or PE parts?
