atlantia chose the f14 as their main naval fighter bomber and decided to modify it slightly
Add a leading edge root extension to the vertical stab and you’d have something resembling the model 303B design. http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-history-f14a-303b.htm Note the folding ventrals [:)]
thats kinda what i was going for but didnt want to copy it exactly
Love checking WiF builds. Great work.
in the 70s atlantia was looking for a fleet interceptor for its normal carrier force (the habbakuk class could use nearly anything)
they decided on the f14 then entering service with the us navy largely due to it extreme range radar and missiles.
as usual they modified the original design
Pretty nice! Is that an EF-2000 EuroFighter vertical stabilizer that you used?
no its actually froma 48 scale f16 ![]()
I was looking at the pictures in your second posting, first & third pictures. Looks like an EF-2000, not an F-16. But, I can see in the subsequent pictures that it is an F-16 vertical stabilizer. You did a great job on it. Where do you get your inspiration from on these"What Ifs"?
this 1 i got from a pic a found of the original mockup tomcat but most of my whifs just come from my odd gray matter
Maybe you should put in a resume with some of the aircraft manufacturers… [8-|] [;)]
now that would be fun lol
