Artifacts from the Britannic

I saw on social media today that divers had brought up artifacts from the Titanic’s sister-ship, the Britannic. The Britannic had struck a mine in the Aegean Sea during WWI and had sunk over 100 years ago on Nov. 21, 1916.

Look forward to seeing what they found. On a related note I recently read about this lucky gal

Violet Jessop worked as a stewardess and nurse for the White Star Line and was aboard the Olympic when it collided, the Titanic when it struck an iceberg, and the Britannic when it struck a mine. Jessop survived all three maritime disasters, earning her the nickname “Miss Unsinkable”

Talk about being witness to history. Wow! Ms. Jessop was one lucky woman.

Very interesting information keavdog and thank you! I would’ve been “gun shy” about getting on an ocean liner after the first ship sunk.

Lucky? To have survived 3 incidents, yes.
But if I had seen this woman getting on another ship, I would have RUN AWAY !

Just sayin’
