ESCI also made a Nebelwerfer in 1/35… might be able to find one on ebay. Going with Robert’s idea… maybe a captured one by a Stuart… I have an ESCI Nebelwhatsit kit in the basement… count me in! I’ll see what else I have loitering about…
Gee since the Eric’s, Max and myself are building the Pak 43/41, maybe we ought to have our own build. LOL Seriously, this is a nice change of pace. Didn’t someone have a review of this when it came out?
I have picked mine. Trying to be original without leaving my WW2/1:35 comfort zone, I am going to do a vignette showing a Fallschirmjager attempting to tow a 7.5CM LEIGHTGESCHUTZE 40 with a bicycle! Unless I discover through research that it would be completely ludicrous, in which case I may switch to a stolen motorcycle.

Absatively, as long as you actually do the gun it’s pulling [:)]. After all, M35 was a prime mover, not an AFV. A great companion for an 8" gun! (Which I think AFV Club makes.)
I am thinking very seriously about AFV Club’s 8" howitzer plus a prime mover big enough to tow it, which might be a challenge. Despite what AFV Club says, the M35 didn’t generally tow the 8" howitzer around – a big truck was used instead.
Anyone built the AFV Club 8" howitzer or the Long Tom? Some people say they are great kits, others gripe about fit.
I went by Hob-Lob last night and picked up a Pak 40. I ain’t doing no PE on this one. The only detailing will be scratchbuilt. I can’t see paying 19 bucks for a pe set for a 8$ kit. So I’m going ol’school on this one. I already have the chevrolet gun tractor in the cabinet. So I’m all ready… Waiting patiently…
PS I read somewhere that the M26 was used to tow heavy arty some times… That would be cute…[:D]
i can’t wait to see that when built!!![:0][:0][:0][8D]
good to see we now have official sticky status by the way; thank you to “the powers that be”![:D]
i think i’ll do Sd.Kfz 251/1d (tamiya) towing an old tamiya pak 40…Sd.Kfz 7 and a big 88mm is a bit too ambitious for me at the moment[V]
