ARMOR - French Armor Vehicles Pre 1940

Thanks for the offer Chris, but I don’t want to put you in a bind down the road so to speak. Karen’s pretty supportive of this hobby of mine so She’s already given the go ahead. I think she was more excited about the picture of my Sherman in the FSM newsletter than I was.

No problem, Steve. It’s just an option if you need it. I like options. Plus it’s always great to have a supportive spouse. I love this GB stuff ! [:D]

Hi
I don’t want to be a bad guy [}:)], but the RPM UE is the worst model i’ve ever seen[xx(][:(]
ALL is inaccurate [V][V][V], the spocket is good but to massive[:(!]
Don’t send your money to save an unsalvage kit.
Wrong lengt ,wrong details and forms
For a correct 1/35 UE, try Des kit .It’s in resine but it’s realy better[:)]
I’m not in contact with him.

So Marc,

I guess I made a good decision to use the RPM UE kit to steal the parts I needed for my AMR 33. Sometimes I get so happy when I see a early WWII French vehicle in the USA that I buy it no matter how accurate it is. Especially if the price is right. I have never seen a Des kit, they must be great. There use to be a rumor that RPM was going to make a 1/35 Char B1 kit. I guess I am glad that hasn’t happen because I probably would have bought one[:D].

Thanks Mark for the input. I love this GB[tup].

Me to [;)] i love this GB[:)]

Marc,

My sincere apologies. I forgot to add you to the GB list in the very first post of this build. Check it out and see if I have it right. Did I miss anybody else? After seeing the picture of your AA gun I can not wait to see the armored vehicles.

By the way, did anybody notice the ending date for the build? [:D]

Well, guys I’m at a stand still for the moment, waiting for my resin pouring supplies to come in. I’ll be checking in everyday, but I’m going to tend to a couple of other projects that need finishing in the mean time.

Hang in there Steve [:D]

I’m counting on one of us finishing this project. Happy Thanksgiving my friend! [C=:-)]

Happy holidays to you and yours as well. And don’t worry, I’ll finish the B1bis, I’m too stubborn not to.

when is the cutoff for joining? I have a lot going on right now, but I have an unbuilt Heller S-35 I could throw in.

No cut off date. Just join in…!

Great ! One more ! Welcome aboard Tankergeoff !

Welcome tankergeoff [#welcome]

Please read the first post to this GB and some things will become clear. I did not put a cut off to join but I did pick a date to finish. Nobody has guessed the significance of it though [;)] Dates don’t matter but enjoying this GB does. But no matter get that Heller S-35 and by all means join us. I love this GB stuff [:D]

Piwi,

Does Pascal have the internet? I will keep watching and waiting. Now I think I will have to change the finish date for this GB [:D]

cool! I’m in, mes amis!!! My mom grew up in France during WW2 and she saw me on this the other night when i was visiting and asked why I wasn’t in on the French Group Build… [:O][B)]

Hey tankergeoff,

Please don’t tell your mom that an Americain started this GB. Too bad I don’t live in Maryland, I would like to meet your mom. So how close to Aberdeen are you? Are you a member of AMPS? I sure am nosey. Welcome Aboard!

I love this GB stuff [:D]

My Cheniellette Lorraine in progress:

What about yours ?

Piwi,

What can I say. We know who has a excellent website, a digital camera, and great modeling skills. Stop teasing me, please.

I love this GB stuff [:D]

I am only about 30 miles from aberdeen… it is my mecca…
no, i am not a member… i notice the camo scheme in the S-35 directions but have not seen any camo schemes on any photos I have seen… What’s the most realistic coloring of an S-35? links? thoughts? ideas?

Geoff,

My comrades overseas will probably hook you up with these links:

I am getting a bit carried away. Excuse me. There are a few more in the Track-link gallery section. If you have a favorite search engine try typing SOMUA S-35 in it and let it go. I have Steve Zaloga’s Blitzkrieg book and a magazine article he did in Military Modeling. I could make a copy of it and mail it to you if you would like. I would say do the search engine thing first or cut and paste the links above in your browzer or give me your snail mail address or email me your phone number or all of the above. I wish I lived 30 miles from Mecca or from you for that matter. I look forward to seeing your S-35 project. I love this GB stuff [:D]
