Armor Factory Finishing Up---For Now.

That’s right everyone! I’ve basically finished up all my armor projects that I’ve started.

Here they are, my last two Works in Progress, now finished.

My Pzkpfw II Ausf M:

and my refurbished Panther:

Now the Panther still needs some minor details painted like the pioneer tools and such, but for the most part, it is finished.

Well, since I have no idea what to build now, I’ll be giving my ‘factory workers’ a little vacation until I figure out what I want to build next.

Hmm…

I do still have those two ACE kits to do. Maybe I’ll start them before the Ferdinand/Elefant Group Build and the MAD Leopard Group Build gets going.

Oh wait! I found the missing instruction sheet to my PST T-54 tank! Now I can finish that one!

Here’s what I got done so far since finding that sheet. I started out be mounting the suspension arms and wheels:

Next, I cemented in the two holding pieces that are supposed to hold the main gun in place when the turret is assembled. I also put together the main gun, and added the turret details onto the top:

While that was drying, I applied the link and length tracks to the wheels:

The top hull was being test fit in the above pic.

Then, the turret was ready to be assembled:

And that’s what I’ve got done so far. When I can, I’ll post more pics.

Enjoy your post tour Barbeque![C=:-)

Congrats on getting them done Duke. Knocked out 2 models in one week thats gotta feel good. The gray on the Pz II looks perfect. I like the camo scheme on the Panther. It looks a little shiny though. Maybe it’s just the flash. Not being critical. Thanks for the pictures.

Cool the PST T-54. I read somewhere that you have to shave the engine cover panel a little bit to make it fit right, not sure though. How are you gonna paint it? Could be done alot of ways: Russian, VietNam, Iraqi, ???

Thanks I-beam! Yeah, it did feel good getting them both knocked out quickly. I took a look at the pic on the Panther, and yeah, that is the flash. It looks really dull in person. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll have to watch for it in future pics.

On the T-54, I’ll be making this one Russian. If I have another one (which I think I have) I’ll be making it Iraqi. Yes, the instructions actually show on this kit that the edges need to be shaved a bit to fit, and they indicate where with shading on the area to be removed.

Duke, that PzIII looks really sweet in particular!

Thanks Dj! It came out better than I expected it to. Not bad for a 29-year-old model!

Nice work on the finished tiny tanks, Duke!
The T-54 looks sweet, too!

Thanks Brian! Glad you stopped in! I’m always pleased to see your posts!

Beautiful camo on the little kitty Duke. Geez a week to knock out two kits; it takes me that long just to do indy tracks.

I don’t wanna hear anything about laying off factory workers Duke! I know you’ve got work stashed away for the factory guys. These most recent builds are going to sure look nice in the family factory showcase. Thanks for bringing us up todate. Semper Fi, mike

Thanks Mike! Glad you stopped in. And no, there’s no laying off any workers. If anything, the workers are all ‘off laying’, -around on the beach that is! They’re spending a few weeks down in Cabo courtesy of ‘the management’! (me)

They’ll need the rest for the next two ACE projects coming up, as well as the Ferdinand/Elefant Group Build!

I’ll keep you posted! Thanks again for the reply
