A Jagdpanzer IV set in the Ardennes(my favourite campaign) with a fresh skiff of snow to start the winter. A lull in the fighting means rest and replenishment.
This is the Tamiya Jagdpanzer IV and Swimmwagon. The ruins were made from leftover drywall and the snow is decorator sand.[:)]
very nice there sasd. great looking model. well done scenary to boot, and the snow looks awesome!!
I don’t know if it is just me, or the lighting, but the snow looks a little to brown for snow, and should be painted little more white
On the other hand, not to be to negative about your creative ‘snow’ I like how it sifts onto everything, and piles up.
It really is a great build, and I hope others enjoy it to.
Thanks for the comments guys,I think it is due to poor lighting because it is white. The original idea was to be a fall scene but cold, just before the snow started flying in the Ardennes but for some reason I wasn`t happy with the finish so decided to add a first snowfall, that fixed it. I was happy.
Nice build sasd.

nice build! looks great!
Thanks alot guys, btw, this again is a hand brush painted job.
Hi,
you are a great artist.
Now i’m doing a diorama with snow, but how must aplicate the snow?
thanks
Thanks comando, the snow in this dio is plain and simple white sand ballast. You can probably pick it up at your local craft store or hobbytrains store or fishtank store. What I do is I sprinkle it on a bit at a time from about 5in. above the dio, that way you get a natural lay of the snow. Build up more around wheels if its to be a heavy snowfall. Then mix white glue and water together and with an eyedropper drop the mix onto the snow right where it is,don
t squirt it,one drop at a time. This freezes your snow in your natural position. It`s a slow process but it works. At this point you can add more snow if you like. Now,once this drys, usualy overnight, you can paint it whiter if you desire and add shadows with pastels in blues and purples. Not much to it and it dries hard as rock. This also works for desert scenes as well,I have done a few like this.
I’m impressed with the work you do with the brush. The entire dio looks great. Keep up the good work.[:D][tup][tup]
Thanks very much Mike, when your forced with certain circumstances you learn to make every build work.
There is a very great sense of balance and life in this dio. Great job!
Very nice build. The concept of this diorama is great. My only concern is what gringe had mentioned earlier. You did a great job in sifting the snow naturally but its a bit too brownish looking. Snow should have a stark white color no matter what it falls on. But overall its a very good dio.
