I have no idea what this kit is, but I found it at a wholesale store it’s the first I ever saw models there. So I picked it up, there was no ticket on it so the girl gave it to me for 7 bucks. It is a Monogram “pro modeler” 1/48 Arado Ar234C-3/4. I honestly have never seen it before. It’s in Nazi colors, and looks really interesting.
Anyone ever heard of this or built one? I’m debating putting it on ebay, it seems like a real find, but I could be wrong. They also had the Monogram 1/72 Space Shuttle I think I will pick up after the holidays for 19.99. Is that a good price for that? Anyway, If anyone wants to see a pic of teh box, I"ll put one up as soon as I figure out how to.
i couldn’t tell you how good the kit is (although i’d say anything from monogram is about $7-worth but that’s just my opinion) but here’s more info on the plane itself:
Hey, thats a good buy. Squadron has it on sale for a little more than that a few months back, but usually it goes for $25 or so. Its based on toolings of the Hasegawa 2 engine kit I believe, so I think you got your money’s worth.
Yea, That’s the kit. It looks fun, recessed panels and lots of clear parts for camera’s under the belly. I just never saw it before, and it seemed wierd, so I thought I would go for it. It looks better than any monogram I’ve ever seen, So I hope it will turn out nice. The clear parts kinda scare me, but we’ll see how it goes! Thanks for all teh input and references.
