I’ve read the older threads, I’m curious if anyone has a more recent opinion on the use of Apoxie Sculpt vs. Clay vs. Fixit vs. (other). I’m about to purchase some and I’m curious (a) has anyone had better experience with one over the other, as the FAQs don’t seem to show major differences between them, and (b) any color suggestions if being used mostly for seam filling? I was considering the super white, but can get the grey much cheaper!
I’ve used Aves Apoxy Sculpt for nearly 20 years. Great Stuff! Colors don’t really matter except seeing your coverage area Just mix equal portions and smooth with water or alcohol. They also sell a Safety Solution that works great in smoothing too. You have about an hour’s working time and dries rock solid in about 24 hours. Sands like a dream!

Thanks, Rob. I think I’ll get the larger quantity of the grey color, perhaps it’ll closely match my Tamiya plastic!
I usually get the 1 lb. containers. Even though they last forever I’ve gone through a few sets!

I recommend Apoxie Sculpt, too, but I will concede that across epoxy putties, they’re all pretty good, and it comes down to a modeler’s experience and preference.
A bit of tangential trivia…it’s pronounced “ay-veez”, not “aves” like “saves”. Latin for “birds”. Note the logo-it’s a stylized pair of wings. How do I know? I emailed the company to ask 'em.
One thing to consider is the softness of the epoxy putty when uncured. I have found Milliput to be much tougher to mix and work compared to Aves. The Aves was like freshly chewed bubble gum, so it was really easy to mix and work. My last batch of Aves went hard, so I gotta get a fresh tub.
