Does anyone know where this stuff might be available? It was made by The Small Shop, and I heard a rumor that it can no longer be exported by air because it is apparently potentially hazardous. I would love to get my hands on some–does anyone know how? It is an acrylic substance made for the purpose of simulating the texture of cast metal and other rough surfaces. Thanks!
Hi
CASTaCOAT is totally NON-TOXIC.
The scale grains are a non reactive material and the liquids are water based, which is the reason it is better than the “primer” or "other powders/pepper methods. You can wash it off if you mess up as well BTW
The “problem” we have had with US shipments is the fact that it looks “strange” being two liquids and two powders !! in this day and age that is seen as a possible “danger”
The place to get it direct in the USA is
We have a waiting list at the moment as the milling plant (every grain is the same size which is why it works BTW) is back ordered themselfs and we are down the list. That said it will be ready to ship to the USA in two weeks.

Thank you! I guess the “potential hazard” lies in the fact that it can get the airport TSA people all riled up, which could be hazardous, I suppose.
I sent an email to thesmallshopeu with my information and such. I’d like to order some of the stuff as soon as it is available. Thanks again…
