Has anyone heard of these folks? How I heard of them was when I ran a thread a while back on ICM kits and someone reffered them. Well I ordered some kits from them about a month ago and still haven’t received anything after 3 weeks (they stated they have 7 day shipping) and I emailed them to see where the order was and after 3 days of waiting they stated they never had gotten the order, I gave them the order # and the PayPal verifacation # and they still gave me grief so I went a head a cancelled the order and got my refund from PayPal so alls good but I have a question for Alanger how do they stay in business by stating they have 7 day shipping but it takes monthes to receive and they drop almost all of there orders to boot?
I ordered some kits from them about 2 years ago and I had no problems. Maybe they have gone downhill lately?

I’m not claiming that their crooks but when you order something and they state they have 7 day shipping one tends to think when you order a item then they’ll get the order out within a day or 2 then the 7 day journey to your place maybe 10 days at most from time of order to time or receiving total time, but when it runs into weeks and months then there is something drastically wrong with their process. I feel like I’m comparing them to Great Models or Squadron when you order some thing from them you know it’ll be there within a week or so and if they have a stocking problem then they’ll either call you or shoot an email out explaining the situation and try to make adjustments to counter the problem, these guys at Alanger never called (which their 1-800 # doesn’t work) or cut an email out to explain their problem. What I’m saying is if they take the time and communicate with their customers then they might come off as a stand up company and have Excellent Customer Service department
I’ve ordered from them twice, the first time everything was great. the second time I called and e-mailed them multiple times and never got a response. finally I started a dispute with paypal to get my money back, the day that paypal was to give me my money back I recieved e-mail from Max at alanger who said the items were shipping the following Tuesday. Well 2 and a half weeks later it finally showed up just one of the 2 kits I ordered. Bare in mind I made the original order on the 22nd of Dec 2005. So I gave them time for the holidays about 30 days. I waited until then to make a fuss, their forum isn’t monitored for squat nor do they answer e-mails with any quickness. I digress I did get a total of 2 e-mails from Max one that asked me “You did not get your order?” the reason I sent my initial e-mail and the second one stating that it would be shipped the following tuesday 3 weeks after the first e-mail I recieved. I had ordered 2 of the same kit during one of their special sales and only eventually recieved one so I kept my refund from paypal and don’t feel bad about it. I think either the owner doesn’t monitor anything at all or he doesn’t care at all, I don’t know but I don’t think I’ll be ordering anything else from him and would not encourage anyone else to do the same.

I hate to say anything bad about anyone but, from when I moved out here from Missouri to Maryland I’ve found that most of the people who live around the D.C. areas and north to Maine they seem to have that attitude that you want it from me, you work for it and I’ll just sit on my keester and do nothing to help you and by the way you owe me something to boot! Unlike back in the mid-west where they’ll bend over backwards to help you out if you want something
I didn’t think you were saying they were crooks. I subscribe to the don’t attribute to malice what can be explained by laziness, stupidity, or several other less criminal things school of thought.
I believe I ordered a couple of times from them when they were selling ICM kits at killer prices. This was about 3 years ago, possibly longer. Their service was reasonably fast (I recall getting it in a week to 10 days) and I got everything I ordered without hassles.
Something has obviously changed there. I’m glad I haven’t ordered anything from them recently.
