Just curious to know if anybody at this site is going to Wonderfest? This will be my 9th year of attendance and I am greatly looking forward to it.

No, not the original WF held in Japan, but the one held here in the states. It’s held annually in Louisville, Kentucky. This year on June 7-8.

I was thinking about going to the one here this year. I hear it’s a pretty cool event!
It is my sincerest hope that I will someday make the pilgrimage from Connecticut to Kentucky for the event. I may have to wait until my kids are older.
J-hulk, this event is much more oriented to what builders have made (it’s actually a contest) than what manufacturers have to offer.

Wonderfest as opposed to the Japanese Wonder Festival (which I would also love to attend). Yes. Definately. Working on a project for it right now.
Sadly, my wife is due 5 June w/our third child. So, can’t go unless the kid is a couple weeks early… [:(]
Actually, you’re off on your dates. This coming year it’s May 27 - 28, 2006, per the WonderFest site.

Actually, I just found out that those dates conflict with the slightly varying end-of-school dates that my parents (the teachers) have. If WF was just a week later, I would be there. But alas, since I couple WF with a visit with the family, I have to coordinate with the dates they get out of school.
Bummer.
Id love to go to wonderfest, Im only about 150mi from there, but I really hate to go by myself.
I’d also like to officially start the rumor that FSM may be in attendance. So bring your best and be on good behavior.
You might have to travel alone but you won’t be once you arrive! Wonderfest is a very fun, friendly show.
I’ll be driving some 1100 miles to get there. Yes, I’ll have some friends but if Dan eats any cabbage that’s not a necessarily a good thing.

By the way don’t wait too long to get your hotel reservations. They upgraded me to a suite for reg room rate but you have to ask.
