Anybody ever build this '34 Ford Coupe?

I recently purchased this Lindberg 1/32 scale '34 Ford Coupe. One would think it could be thrown together in a weekend easily. But, man, there is soooo much flash on the parts and blemishes in the body panels. Some of the rim parts have no space between the spokes. Must be from seriously ancient molds. Almost looks like a resin kit. Also, the sprue barely taper before they join to the parts, resulting in slight damage to the edge of some parts when they’re trimmed off.

All around crappy kit. Should be challenging.

Anyone have any experience with this particular kit?

Also, as for Group Builds, I was thinking something military, like the unarmed one, as it is a 1/32 scale kit. Any others it might fit into? I could settle for the Automotive GB but was hoping to find a better fit for the scale.

Flyit, that kit, if my memory is right, started as a Palmer Plastics mold and was later part of the Pyro Table Top Series. Later years it has been under the Lindberg brand. The tool is old, I figure it was produced about the same time Kennedy and Nixon were in a debate. The kit was never top quality but I have seen a few examples built that look pretty nice. Good luck with it, it will test your modeling skills!!
