I’m wondering if there are any other photo resources online besides prime portal. Specifically interested in the interior, and even more specifically interested in special HUMMVEE’s with mission equipment.

I am not a HUMMVEE expert by any stretch of the imagination , I usually search the net using " Dogpile" , or " Google" . However there are two great members of this forum, that share alot of fantastic information . They are " HeavyArty’ , and Rob Gronovius, amongst others. No doubt these fine modellers , could point you in the right direction . While on the subject of HUMMVEES , I have the Tamiya 1/35 M 1025 HUMMVEE , it has no spare tire , what do they do if they have a flat ? I would suspect the tires are of " the run flat" variety, even though you have a " flat" , you can still drive a few kilometers , in order to get out of harm’s way , without destroying the tire or the rim . No spare tire ? I am just curious.

Thanks for the nod of confidence Frank. Unfortunately, I don’t have any HMMWV sites bookmarked. Prime Portal is great, or I just do a Google search for what I am looking for too.
As to the lack of a spare tire…You are correct, they are run-flat tires and no spares are issued with the vehicles. However, we found out before OIF (during rotations in Kuwait) that we needed spares since there wasn’t time nor enough extra tires to go back and get another. Before my Battery left Kuwait to head north, we ordered spares for all our HMMWVs. I was glad we did as well.
