This has probably been asked and beaten into the ground on this forum before, but I’ve got to ask…
How are the Badger Anthem and Crecendo airbrushes, which is the better to have, and are they worth having? I can get them at Michaels this week for about $72.00
Oh, in case anyone cares, I’ve got an Aztec something or other, a Badger 200 (both of which I trade off using) and a Pasche VL that hardly ever use because I don’t care for it much.

I have both, and for overall painting I like the Anthem better. More versatile for me at least. Of course if you paint large subjects like 1/35 armor and small detail is not as important the 175 would do the job as well.
They are both very good brushes but at least for me the 155 had less of a learning curve to it. I know this might be confusing mut it’s the best I can do. You might ask to hold them in the store as both have a very different footprint as well. The 175 is a fat stubby little guy and the Anthem is slender. find out which ones FEELS better in your hand… I thought I would like the 175 better when I bought it but ends up I prefer the control I feel when I use the 155.
I also had an Aztek before the 175 and 155 and MAN what a difference for me!!!

I just noticed your sig pic and I am assuming you do armor like I mentioned, just wanted to let you know the 155 does very well on large subjects too, I guess MY preference would be the 155, was just trying to give you both sides of the info haha It just boiled down the the 175 was a little too awkward to hold close in to the model for me as it is kind of a big brush…
I disagree. The Crescendo is a little more versatile in that it can use fine, medium and heavy tips and needles whereas the 155 only has the single needle. That does not mean that the Crescendo is better though.
In reality they both spray similar but with the fine needle and tip the Crescendo is capable of slightly finer lines in the right hands.
I think it depends on what feels better in your hands. Ask them at the store to let you see them both and make the decision based on what feels better to you.
Some people prefer a fatter-bodied airbrush like the Crescendo, while others prefer a slimmer design like the 155. I prefer the 155 myself.

happily I’ve found a place for my crescendo… it is GREAT at spraying full coverage with vellejo acrylics where the 155 lacks a little bit with that particular paint in broader coverage… it still has pllce with me… but unfortunately it’s second…
the 155 does everything else (including most Vallejo painting except for all over fuselager stuff) works fine for broad coverage with any other paint…
I really dont care for the 175 as I have had a few spring problems with mine (way to much pull back trigger play before the paint is released). I have a 360 and a omni 4000g. The 4000g is my own personal opinion (putting the disclaimer in there now so I dont get fillet’d)the best model ab on the market. even after using the great 360 I still think the 4000g is the better suited of the 2 for modeling.
I have a 175 and a 360… (mostly same as the 155) I find the 175 good for spraying single color coats and aslo gloss and flat coats along with future… It was a bit harder for me to learn to use than the 360 I bought later… I personally perfer using the 360 for most painting applications…as it feels better to me and I seem to be able to use it better…again it comes down to a personal choice… the 175 is more forgiving as you can spray a lot of different media’s through it… but I fewel the 360 gives me more overall control…

yepper
