Another PB4Y2 Privateer question

It looks like the matchbox kit is my best bet (good old ebay) since the only other option I’ve seen is a resin conversion that may or may not be available (and likely costs more than the Matchbox kit anyway). My question is does the Matchbox kit have the option of building it with a glass nose or only the turret? I want to build one with the glass nose and want to know if I need to plan on getting a B24D and making a PB4Y1 as well so I can use the nose on the PB4Y2.

Thanks

Aaron
I built the kit a few years ago and it has only the turret, which is the way I thought all Privateers came. This intrigues me, so I’m gonna dig into my library.

The “glass nose” was a post war modification. I read somewhere that it was only on USCG A/C (?). Aaron are you going to try your hand at on of the “Greybull Bombers”? If you are remember that H & P did different modifications to each A/C. I’ve seen three different H & P Privateers and the nose and side windows were different on each one. If I can find the album they’re in I’ve pics of them somewhere. Most of my albums are in storage at the moment. Hope this helps.

Yes, my plan was to build tanker 123 which broke up over Colorado in 2002. I’ve found several pictures online.

Hi Aaron,
Know your love for fire fighting a/c. Found this on e-bay for you:

To go with this pic:

Aaron, the Matchbox PB4Y-2 came with additional parts to build the RY-3 transport version. It had a solid nose.
