Hi Ya’ll :
Guess What ? Went to the very enjoyable Train Show put on By San Antonio Model Railroad Association ( SAMRA ) this last weekend . Of Course at every show whether I.P.M.S. or a train club there will be vendors .
One vendor had a lot of odd stuff . One package kept catching my sweater sleeve as I went by. Very narrow stairs on that end . Well I bought it
Now here’s the skinny on it . Manufactured in 1961 by Ideal Toys . Sponsored by and Authorized by an airplane club .( Real ) The plane . It’s a 1/32 Beech Staggerwing .
It’s the last release of the thing Without the motor and battery box to make the prop spin . Unusual assembly sequence and very low parts count .
Yes , a D-17S with enough decals to choke a horse and info in the instructions to make All the variants ! The Decals are in Like New Condition , But I had to bag the plane because the box is so poor .It also includes a brochure from Beech Aircraft explaining the bird and her options and color choices .
How about that for a find , with NO parts missing . Sorry there’s no pics . Still haven’t learned How to do that . Tanker - Builder
