Well, here it is guys another scratchbuilt project. Decided to show you guys my latest build before I put it into a dio. The model is of the AN/TPS 59 mobile radar unit. As always I never ever get a decent picture to work from. I had two references to work from and the areas that were not visible I just looked at other radar units that were similiar and just filled in the blanks. So enjoy:

I work on the AN/TPS 59 RADAR. I was surprised to see that someone was going to make a model of it. How big do you plan on making it? Is there a reason your making it other then a challenge? How detailed are you going to make it? I could provide more detailed pictures if needed.
I’ve never posted to a board before so forgive me if I sound rude. My wife sent me a link saying it looked like someone was going to make a model of the 59. I was looking for one as a going away gift for a MSgt that has worked on the 59 for 18 years.

Hi Brian. I would love to see some pics up close and afar of this radar. Te pics I have are either unclear as you can see from the above or too far. The one I build is not 100% accurate but the overall look seems to work. I would love to see pics of trailer unit that the actual radar sits on and how it pivots for transport. Di you see the link above?
