An interesting helo camo scheme...

I came across these while surfin’ the web and figured you guys would appreciate them…

Interest camo,eh?

Cheers!

Eric

Yup, pretty cool camo scheme. It was from ODS ('90-'91) timeframe. It has been posted quite a few times here.

HMH-466 “Wolverines” from MCAS Miramar, CA. I doubt anybody from any service could get away with something like that again. Some squadrons can’t even paint a scantilly clad pin up girl on their Aircraft anymore.

Semper Fi,

Chris

That one should go down as the all-time greatest in the helo Hall of Fame. God bless the old Corps!

Gotta love those airframes guys. I need to do that scheme for our next local contest. They will probably say it is too graphic for a public display. Last contest I went to they had an “18 and up” room for the figures display.

As far as getting away with it. Rule #1: Easier to get forgiveness than permission…besides it keeps the maintenance chief on their toes [:D]

Thanks. I save and scale it for masking when I paint it.

Who is that girl??? I’ve got to find her!! (but don’t tell the wife!)

Great cammo scheme. I didn’t even notice at first. I thought “what’s so special about sand and tan?” and then I saw her…
