now thats a funky nose on that thing! Did you reposition the flaps yourself, or was that option included in your kit?
…yea…“Snoopy nose”
I made all flaps/slats from styrene myself…
Best Regards,
Brad
Brad,
What a beaut! This is actually the next plane in my stash that I’m going to work on. I haven’t even touched the plastic yet and I already know it’s going to pale in comparison to yours. The flaps look awesome!!!
Eric
Very nice, Brad.
Thanks Eric very MUCH!!!
Thanks very much!!
I’m sure you will do a great job!!!
Thanks,
Brad

Brad,
Absolutely beautiful!! [t$t]
Bob
Thank You Bob very much!!!
That is a great model. The flaps really add to the subject.
THANKS very much!!
Brad, did you reinforce the wings to prevent them from sagging? Did you use the method suggested in the instructions?
Hi,
Yes I did re-enforce the wings. Not how the instruction said however. What I did was to bend the wng haves to the proper angles, then added some styrene to the under side to fill the gaps to keep the proper angle.
Regards,
Brad
Interesting. I really want to start on this model next (it’s for a friend of mine who requested I build it for him) but the whole “wing fix” thing is making me procrastinate on starting it. The instructions would have you work with brass tubing or something like that and it just sounds like a bit of a pain.
Eric
When I build 135s I cut out the center wall bits like the instructions suggest for reinforcing the wings. Then i cement in several strips of thick evergreen and let cure for a few days. Simple, and effective.
Brad and Paint,
Thanks for the info/tips! “Simple and effective” are my middle names. It sounds easy enough that even I can’t screw it up.
Thanks again!
Eric
