I’ve never liked the Ecto-1a graphics scheme. So I chose to keep it a little more simple and go with the original simpler design. I also had finished up the engine compartment and got that all painted up.
I picked up a photo etch kit from Paragraphix to give the internal compartments some added detail. I also picked up a LED light kit from Voodoo FX.

Hello!
Well, good to see you again! All these years I wondered what happened to this nice build - I’m glad to see it was finished all right.
One of these days I will make an ECTO-1, too, I even have the kits in stash (the ECTO and the Eldorado). Hope to have it look as good as your model looks!
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Pawell, I appologize for the late reply! this one slipped through the cracks. But thank you. It was a fun build for sure. I think you’ll have fun with it. I can’t wait to see what you do with this.
It looks like you haven’t done the sign-boxes on the roof yet. here is a better option than the AMT or paragrafix ones

sadly I did. but the photoetch screen that went over the panel drowned out the color. I was going to go back and find some neon green paint to fill in the dots but I haven’t been able to find anything that would dry right just yet, or bleed out.
I was playing with the thought to make those displays functional…
