I picked this kit up at the Chattanooga IPMS show on the 14th. I don’t know why but I’ve always liked the look of the Pontiacs of the era, maybe because they aren’t Chevys…
Anyway, it was $10.00, so why not?
I got way more than I expected with regard to detail, and fit has been great so far!
Normally, you start with the engine, but one look at the interior and I knew it was going to be a challenge and fun at the same time. So I started there.
Next I painted up the inner wheel wells, undercarriage, and gas tank.
All the interior is built on top.
I use almost exclusively lacquer and enamel paints, but on the interior I decided to experiment. I used Apple Barrel water based craft paint from Walmart. It took several coats to cover, but with a little patience, the result was acceptable.
That’s all for now. Thanks for looking!
