AMP Hup - 1 USN helicopter in 1/.48

I had some down time on other projects (waiting for paint) and started this one.
USN rotary wing subject.
Those of you that are familiar with limited run AMP kits from the Ukraine know they do some unusual subjects and they are a bit of a challenge.

Interior has a LOT of tiny fragile parts - the PE foot pedals will test your skill and eyesight.
The rear seats have PE for the fabric backs.

You can build an open engine bay or have it closed with the detailed resin hatch.
The engine can be done with plastic parts, or the kit also includes a really nice 3D resin option.
Coordination is required to thread the driveshafts thru the fan shrouds while assembling.

Here is the first problem I encountered.

You can build the two main rotor hubs from some extremely tiny plastic parts -OR-as an option - the kit provides two 3D resin hubs. These are fantastic very detailed build up one-piece hubs.

However…while trial fitting the main rotor blades, I noticed both kit hubs turn in the same counterclockwise direction. This simply can’t be as the idea behind a twin rotor helicopter is the rotors must turn in opposite directions to counter the torque.

I reluctantly decided to go back to the plastic built up hubs, but then I noticed they are each the same as well.

After pondering the issue, I took a PE saw blade and carefully sliced the second rotor hub off of its base plate and flipped it over to spin in a clockwise direction (the unpainted hub in the picture). I had to add back the resin bolt heads and some details.

Oh cool. I have a couple of their kits in the stash - the 1/48 Gazelle is one. I’ve yet to build and AMP kit so following along here.
